    Description

Unusual set of 12 records, each with two sides. They don't tell you how long each it but I listened to a few sides and got sucked in. When they were testing timing of .02-.08 seconds for sound splitting, I kicked butt. The sides I listened to were 9 minutes each. 9 x 12 = 108 minutes, give or take.
1968 copyright. An Audio presentation utilizing the Heart Sound Simulator with an accompanying text and illustrations. By Abe Ravin.
The records are followed along by the book. The book is 136 pages.
1- 12 RECORDS- Other than a minor fingerprint or surface scuff, I found no issues. The records are silent with only an occasional tick.
It appears that the records were recorded in 1967 but the overall copyright information is 1968
2- 12 SLEEVES- They explain what you have on one side and advertise a Merck Drug on the other (photo 7 & 8). Other than an occasional impression or rub mark that shows the outlines of the record and label, there are no issues with the sleeves
    3- BOOK-
There is a hard crease on the front cover, that almost borders on a crack in the paper
. Other than that, the book has no issues other than toning to the pages.
4- 2 BOXES- There is a box that holds the records (photo 2) and a box that holds that box. They are visible in (PHOTO 1) top two items. BOTH BOXES HAVE A SPLIT ON ONE EDGE AND SOMEONE MADE THE EFFORT TO REPAIR THEM BUT IT IS STILL UGLY (photo 9). The split on the outer box never split the paper inside of the box. It is holding together but would not argue with some repair attempt. The inner box also has a split on one side that did not tear through the paper inside of the box. There is also evidence of a hard corner bump on both boxes, likely what caused the splits,  but the boxes did protect the records.
Sounds and courses are likely much easier to find online but I still think these records are pretty interesting. As I said, I got sucked in. For a collector of Merck or pharma advertising in general, it is also interesting.

    MEDIA MAIL:
The USPS allows books, records and other media to be mailed at a cheaper price than typical mail. It tends to be a much slower mailing process than standard mail. In addition, any employee of the USPS can open the package at ANY time for ANY reason to verify that what is inside is what should be inside. In most cases, the item is properly repackaged but in rare cases it is not, and an item can arrive damaged. As my feedback suggests, I package very carefully. If you receive a damaged item that has the appearance of having been poorly packaged, please contact me prior to leaving feedback so that it can be addressed.
