Description
Up for auction here is a cool vintage boiler pressure gauge made by Lonergan of Philadelphia. The needle is stuck pointing at 33.3 (rather than zero) so I assume it isn't functional. It's just a neat piece that could be upcycled into a lamp or whatever. The needle has a somewhat decorative flair.Overall the aesthetic condition is pretty good: fairly clean face (nickel?); nice rusty patina around the black-painted metal body but there's a shallow 1/2 inch chunk out of the rim (see photo); some gunk around the thread where it once screwed into a boiler. No cracks.
The face measures 3.5 inches in diameter and the back is about 4-7/8 inches across. Weighs about 1 lb 10 oz.
I will carefully package the gauge in a cardboard box and ship it from my local US Post Office. My home smoke-free and pet-free.
Good luck!
