No loss in sound volume at the speaker!
ULTRABRIGHT LED LAMP
This may be the brightest 5mm LED
lamp you have ever seen! It is
very much brighter than standard LED
lamps of earlier years. When seen
at night in darkness, the lens on
this round-top LED enables you to view
its light, even when reflected from
white paper at a distance of 20ft!
See the photos, above.  The Ultrabright
Light-Emitting-Diode is mounted near
the piezo loudspeaker.  When clicks are
heard on the side speaker, the LED lamp
does bright flashes!  This is a grand
improvement for the Ludlum geiger counter
series.  I have installed this LED on six
Ludlums of models 3, 2, and 12, all with
very successful results. It has not yet
been tested on other Ludlum models. If the
audio switch is turned off, the LED lamp does
not flash.  The LED lamp connects to the piezo
speaker, and there is
no noticeable loss of
sound volume from the side-speaker
. This
geiger counter enhancement will be great for
you
if your Ludlum is to be used in a noisy
location, or if the user
is hearing-impaired!
NO SOLDERING ON THE
LUDLUM'S CIRCUIT BOARD
All soldering is done on the
two-conductor insulated wire
located near the piezo
loudspeaker, a safe distance
away from the circuit board.
NO SOLDERING is done on or
near the Ludlum's circuit board.

to identify your preferred LED lamp
color:  COLOR CHOICES: white  or green
or  red  or  pink  or  blue  or  yellow.
If no color is chosen, then I will
ship a WHITE LED because the
white ultrabright LEDs have
the highest brightness.

Piece of duct tape, 2" x 3" (to secure
wires to inside of metal box)
Tube of adhesive cement (to fix LED lamp into
hole drilled near speaker on metal box)
