    Description

A beautiful collectible set of U.S. postage stamps issued in 1964 to honor Doctor William James Mayo and his brother Doctor Charles Horace Mayo, surgeons who founded the Mayo Foundation for Education and Research in affiliation with the University of Minnesota at Rochester, MN.
The stamps feature busts of the brothers and are taken from a sculpture by James Earl Fraser.
These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office almost 60 years ago!  Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift for anyone who works at or has been a patient at the Mayo Clinic!
