You are bidding on one REAL Inventory Restraint Log from the famous South Carolina Department of Mental Health property (formerly known as the SC Insane Asylum or SC State Hospital for the Insane.). It is the oldest psychiatric campus in the United States still in operation, with a sordid history dating back to the 1820’s.
This particular building housed the property’s violent patients or those undergoing psychiatric evaluations to determine their competency to stand trial.
These authentic logs are dated between the late 80’s to mid 90’s and would look amazing in a frame, or as a perfect backdrop for a cabinet of curiosities. The log mailed to you will NOT have any green marker or revisions, and is unedited other than from the day it was logged.
The campus was famously featured as part of the special “Down on Bull Street” and in the novel “The South Carolina State Hospital: Stories From Bull Street.”
