Shipped with USPS in a padded envelope, wrapped  in plastic and aluminum foil.
Each 3g pellet coontains 1g of powdered monazyte suspended in 2 grams of thermoplastic. Monazite contains 3.5-10% thorium dioxide and traces of uranium emitting alpha particles and undergoeimg (beta and/or gamma decay). Approximately 74% of your count will be from Alpha particles and the remaining 26% of the activity will be the result of beta and gamma decay.
Now you can fashon a potent check source of the size and shape of your choosing. The working temperature is above 150°f or 65°C. Once heated to a working temperature pellet will become malleable until cooled.
You should easily be able to obtain a count above 300CPM with many different configurations of the shape when your finished product is placed within 1/4 inch of the geiger tube.
3 grams of virgin thermoplastic is included in your order for dilution purposes.
