    Description

    The Avon Collection
    Collectable
    Stein Christmas Carol
Estate sale find. I have several steins listed from this collector, please browse them.
The stein tribute to A Christmas Carol cameos a full-color portrait of Ebenezer Scrooge, the original "Bah Humbug"
cynic, now smiling and with merry twinkle in his eye.  Pointing at him is the ghost of Jacob Marley, the former business partner who ushers in the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to come, also pictured on the stein.  And whenever you open the tankard lid you'll find the doorknocker in which Scrooge momentarily "sees" Marley's face the night these visitations started.
On the other side of the stein, Scrooge's much-abused clerk Bob Cratchit carries his ailing son Tiny Tim, the smallest, and perhaps most needy, beneficiary of Scrooge's new-found generosity.  Tiny Tim's toast of the season - Bless us, Everyone! - gets a featured position.  Throughout the design a host  of images celebrate abundance and joy.  The stein handle represents a quill pen of the sort used by 19th century clerks such as Bob Crathit or by writers such as Charles Dickens.  The pewter lid has a figural ceramic insert depicting Scrooge surrounded by gifts.
    - Approx. 10" inches tall x 5" inches wide, 7 1/2" inches wide from handle.
    - Excellent Condition, new but without packaging.
    - Item will be packaged and shipped well. Shipping reflects proper packaging.
